This morning we met up with some friends at the Squak Mt State Park and hiked the Pretzel Tree trail. This is a really cool, kid-friendly trail with a storyboard along the way. We all took turns reading at each stop and then the kids would run ahead to the next storyboard and wait while all of us moms caught up. We got to see the pretzel tree too. It was very cool. The trail is very sheltered by all of the old growth trees around so not much sunlight gets in but on a sprinkling morning like today, we didn't even get wet. The trees act like a canopy for us. Autumn was fascinated by all of the moss and the slugs that were everywhere! We are so lucky to live in a place with so much awesome nature all around us.
