This year, we thought it would be fun to take the girls to a pumpkin patch. We'd never done this before and didn't really know what to expect.
We went to the same farm where we get our Christmas tree every year since we saw they had advertised that there were pumpkins there as well.We didn't realize that the pumpkins don't actually grow there but on a farm in Yakima and are trucked in and just thrown in a field.
Autumn and Charlee had a great time picking out the perfect pumpkin to carve into a jack-o-lantern for Halloween.
Daddy didn't complain too much that we spent about $15 more than if we'd just bought a grocery store pumpkin but it was worth the experience.
We got some great pictures including one that we ended up using for our Christmas card. The farm is set up to be an "experience" anyway. You can sit by a fire, drink hot chocolate, play on hay bales, there was even a blow up slide and bounce house.
